It is so important to figure out the accurate size of your body so that you can get a perfect dress. Please confirm your size according to our measuring pictures and size chart. If you are still puzzled after checking the size chart online, please ask a professional local tailor for help. And the sizes of prom dresses are different from the clothes you usually wear. Because you may usually wear loose clothes to feel comfortable, but you must provide accurate and close-fitting measurements to make sure your dress fits.
All of our dresses own approximately the same measurements (except for length, of course) in our standard sizes, and they are consistent with bridal sizes.
The best way to figure out what size you will fit in is to match your measurements to ourΒ size chart. And it is so easy to find our size chart. It appears on every dress's order page.
There are some tips for you:
- The size of different styles may vary. According to our customers' feedback, strapless styles tend to fit perfectly because of their hard and still style. And it does not ask for so many sizes.
- Styles with straps usually run a little bit bigger in the bust. But we leave 3 cm long fabric to make any adjustments. That's an easy fix for a local tailor.
- If you usually measure your size with a bra, please take the padding out. Because all our dresses have a built-in bra. So if you wear one it will make the bust area look a little off! Please measure your bust size without your bra to get accurate measurements.
How to find your fit in strapless styles:
- You need to fill in the cup to hold the gown up.
- You should choose your strapless dress based on the size of the waist measurement. There should not be a lot of wiggle room in strapless styles. They look gorgeous when they are tight, hard and still.
- If you go a size down, and your waist is a bit bigger than the listed measurement, there is the possibility you'll have some problems when zipping the dress up.
- So it is always better to go a little bit larger so that we have enough fabric to make slight adjustments.
How to find your styles with straps and sleeves that fit you well:
- The bust size for such styles tends to run a bit bigger or larger, so make sure you can fill this area in for a nice look.
- If your bust is a little bit larger (about an inch bigger) than the measurement, the dress should still look fine, but it may be a little snug.
- There's not a lot of extra room in the waist for such styles, so if you're a little larger than the measurement listed on the size chart, you may have some issues zipping up! Under those circumstances, we always recommend you to pick a larger one.
- If our measurements do not match your size very well, you can find one size similar but a little bit larger than your size. And then you can have it altered to fit by your local tailor. For example, if you are a UK12Β in the waist but your other measurements match up with a size UK8, you're still going to want to go with a size UK10 or UK12 to fit your waist, and then have the dress tailored down.
In the end, we welcome the custom made order all the time. There's always our custom sizing option for you! If you have any questions about the size or something else, please feel free to contact us at any time.
